Growing up, I didn’t see many mirrors of myself in the stories being told. Society’s expectations never resonated with me and the idea of convention for its own sake bored me. Instead, I work towards something bold, deeply personal, emotionally charged, and reliably inclusive. The work I create screams: “This is who I am. Come along for the ride!”

 

My name is Jordan Brown, and my artistry lives in three dimensions: Scene, Style, and Socials. Scene, my theatrical brand, is intensely focused and polychromatically expressive. The roles I’m drawn to live with verve and passionate desire—these are bold, deeply thoughtful pieces that grip you, make you laugh, feel dread, and search for meaning… even in a pen dropped on stage. You’ll be moved, and you might just find yourself empathizing with their choices, shaped by the weight of their experiences.

 

Style is how I show up in the world. Fashion lifts my mood and grounds me in challenging spaces—it’s how I express identity, often through color, silhouette, or texture. Every piece in my wardrobe is intentional. When styling others, I work within their palette using accessories and standout pieces to amplify who they already are.

 

I share the journey through Socials. Drawing on my experience as a marketing coordinator at Shakespeare Theatre Company and as an Allen Lee Hughes BIPOC Fellow at Arena Stage, I use platforms like Instagram to connect, reflect, and invite others into the process.

 

To sum it up, I use these artforms to expose the weight we carry and turn it into fuel. I truly believe your perspective, identity, and scars are the keys to a fulfilling and successful life. My goal is simple: leave people more seen, more awake, and a little further down the path they want to walk.
